New SWISS Grand Suite:
  • SWISS just unveiled their new, most premium product, the SWISS First Grand Suite, which could possibly be the best first class in the world.
  • The suite has its own aisle and dining room setup. 
  • It consists of two main parts, which both have their own lie flat beds and are linked by a private aisle.
  • It is suitable for families or groups consisting of multiple people.
  • It will be fit on their new A350s, refurbished A330s, and 777s.
  • It should be available to book by 2026.

Akasa Air GOX-PNQ: TRIP REPORT

 The Akasa Air Flight Report Flight Details: Flight:  QP1142 Route:  GOX-PNQ Date:  27 December 2024 Seat:  4F (priority check-in, baggage, popcorn & cashews) Boarding:  2:35 Departs:  3:35 PM Arrives:  4:45 PM Registration:  VT-YAL Aircraft:  B737-Max 8 Fare:  INR 14,442 (3 passengers) Gate:  12 Note how this aircraft does not include their premium A++ cabin, which comes in a 2-2 configuration instead of the usual 3-3. The menu on the flight included salads, croissants, appetizers, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, snacks, beverages, and ready-to-eat items. We boarded at 3:00 PM and it finishes at 3:20. However, pushback occurred at 3:35. We departed at 3:51, 16 minutes late. AMENITIES: Reclinable seat. Cafe Akasa Menu and Safety Card in the front seat pocket. Plane Theory: Akasa Air has the Best Pilots (In Indian Aviation)? As I was having a conversation with an Akasa Air Captain and FO, both of whom were former Jet Airways pilots. Soon, I was hit with the revelation that most senior Akasa Air pilots would be from Jet Airways. Jet Airways was one of India's premier FSCs, operating a large fleet of 192 aircraft. Out of these, 139 were Boeing 737s and 10 were 777s. The airline filed for bankruptcy and ceased operations on the 17th of April, 2019. These pilots, many of whom saw expertise operating Boeing Aircraft, had very few places to go.
